White dress

This is a dress I wanted to make since I saw the Lord of the Rings films (the films may differ from the book in many things and you may like them or not but the care they put in costumes and set design cannot be denied)

I based myself on one of Galadriel dresses.

Most of it is made of silk, the sleeves and neck are in viscose.

The gown is a full round, made separated from the bodice and sewed with it in a second time
The bodice is embroidered with cotton thread and little beads, while the belt is made with a satin ribbon embroidered only with various beads.
The brooch is lotr (Lord of the Rings) merchandise.

Larp Games

I'm beginning to use my newly created blog to introduce the passing by readers to a hobby of mine, that is Larp Games.

For those that do not know what a Larp game is here there's a definition, directly from the wikipedia:

a live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world, while interacting with each other in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules, or determined by consensus among players.

Since the game is 'live action' you need real things to give to your character, like dresses, weapons (not harming reproductions of real ones XD) accessories and so on.
I'll start to post my characters dresses.
